As a Wedding Stationer, I often get asked ‘When should I send my Wedding Invitations?’. Of course, there is no right or wrong answer, and timescales can depend on different factors, but below I have created a standard timeline to help with when to order and send your stationery.
Organising your wedding stationery can be a little overwhelming, but firstly sit down with your partner and write down your guest list. You will also need to determine who are Day guests and who are Evening. This will be used to calculate how many invitations you need and help set your budget.
Top Tip – Normally you will only send one invitation per household/couple.

If you have decided on Save the Dates, at this point you can start looking and thinking about designs, commonly these are only sent to your day guests and your wedding invitations will be similar in colour and design. Your stationer may have pre-made collections, or will work with you on a bespoke design.
